Ahmad is a Wealth Advisor in the firm’s Vancouver office, where he specializes in cross-border financial planning for individuals, families, and business owners with ties to the United States. He takes pride in simplifying the complex world of cross-border planning.

Ahmad has over a decade of experience in the financial services industry and joined Nicola Wealth in 2014. He is among a small group of advisors in North America that are licensed as CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professionals by both the CFP Board in the United States and the Financial Planning Standards Council in Canada. His insights have been quoted in publications such as Forbes and Wealth Professional.

Nicola Wealth is a Registered Investment Advisor with the SEC, with the ability to manage U.S. retirement accounts for Canadian and U.S. residents. Our dual capabilities uniquely position Ahmad to serve cross-border professionals relocating between Canada and the United States, including tech industry executives, university professors, and athletes.

Ahmad is a strong advocate for mental health and financial literacy. He currently sits on the boards of both the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) in the North Shore and the Hope Center Café at Lions Gate Hospital. He is a long-time volunteer with Junior Achievement of British Columbia, where he teaches financial literacy courses to youth at local elementary and high schools.

In addition to his CFP® certifications, Ahmad holds the Chartered Investment Manager (CIM®) designation and is a Level 2 Candidate of the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA®) Program. He is licensed to provide life and disability insurance recommendations in Canada.

Outside of the office, Ahmad’s passions are baseball, travelling, and spending time with his family and wife, Natalie.
